We have started putting our footage together from the weekend. I will finish editing that section this weekend to receive feedback from Mr Andrews on Monday to double check we it is correct. We are filming on Sunday to get our alleyway scenes and we will put this together next week. We probably need two more weekend days to get all of the footage then we will be finished so that should allow for a week of editing between the four of us.

We started to edit the footage we filmed on the weekend. We're trying to edit the footage we film straight away so we can show Mr Andrews to receive feedback so we have time to re-shoot anything if we need to. We're doing this so we can have our rough edit finished earlier. There is also a week between the rough edit and the final film so we would prefer to fix any mistakes so we don't have to rush it and possibly not do it to the best of our ability. In our next lesson we will complete the editing for that section of the film. We are are also filming our alleyway scene on Sunday this week and will edit it next week.

20/10/15

Today our group completed our production schedule. We spoke to Mr Powell about recording audio that we wish to use for our film. We worked out the backing track and a time to record Chelsea smith singing this week.

Term 4, Week 2

We handed in our individual treatments, story board and shot list. We have also got our costume box together for our filming at the motel on Monday, week 3. This will be a great opportunity to get most motel and balcony shots for the film. We were also going to film on Saturday in Surfers but some of out actors are unable to make it so we have to postpone this until the following the weekend. This shouldn't put us at a disadvantage we will just not have as much time to edit that scene. I prefer doing the film outside of school and then utilising our class time to edit and plan the next part that we need to film. We will film some of it at school so we have more to work with but not too much as the school doesn't fit the look we are going for.

Term 4, Week 1

In week 1 we finalised our shot list, story boards and individual treatments. We organised a production schedule and costume box for our filming. We also called a motel in Mermaid Beach to organise a time for us to film our balcony and room scenes, we will be doing this in week 3. Over the next week we will also be looking for other places to film, hopefully we can find some sort of alleyway or one that at least looks similar to one in Surfers Paradise. We are all on the same page and have the same film playing over in our minds - I really like the storyline so hopefully it all comes together as we have all planned.
