In today's lesson we finished working out what our film is going to be about and who is going to play what characters. I am happy with how the story is sounding and hopefully it looks good. We will be working on perfecting out storyboards and shot lists at the beginning of next term and this will be completed by the end of week 1/start of week 2. We are filming on the long weekend of week 2 to 3 so we can allow time to edit, review and critique anything that needs to be changed. We all need to ensure we use our time wisely and allow enough time to complete the entire process of pre and post production to the best of our abilities. We had our last lesson today and we will all be brainstorming on how we can improve/ if we need to change anything with our storyline and we will do this during the holidays and follow this up next term. Next week we will meet with Mr Andrews and discuss our storyline and decide if we need to change anything, this will be helpful as we can have an exterior person view the story and gives us direction on how we can improve.

I am working in a group with Holly, Portia and Kartya. We have started brainstorming our fairytale film noir project. We're thinking of using Little Red Riding Hood and the bears from Goldilocks and using metaphors and visuals and put the story in a more modern setting. Currently we are thinking of having 6 characters; red riding hood, the grandma, 3 bears and the wolf. We have started looking at locations where we could film, we are currently thinking about using a motel. Next lesson and week we will have completed our story line and begin the pre-production element of the task so it's not left up until the first week of school next term as it is due that week. We are all trying to improve our time management skills and work together efficiently so we get the best possible outcome for our pre and post production element of the assignment.

I have received my draft back and I have to change my some of my paragraphs around and instead of focusing on one film for a paragraph i just need to do one theme for one paragraph. I have gathered the images and videos I will be using my assignment so all I need to do now is finalise my essay and record myself saying it. I prefer this assignment much more than an oral as it will be easier and possibly more engaging with the visuals that will be used.
